Poodles 0 Posted July 1, 2006 Right after my surgery I would get ONE hiccup and then it would stop. Read somewhere it is because they stitch things to the diaphram so it starts to spasm when we eat. Mine went away about 3 weeks post op.

leatha_g 4 Posted July 2, 2006 Hiccups are a very common band occurence. Often, it's your sign that you've eaten and your diaphragm is now telling you you are full. Many of us get that ONE big hiccup as a sort of warning that we're getting full. sorta like a 'whoa!'.. Listen to what it's telling you. It may be time to put the food away and do something different. Welcome to restriction.

Miper70 0 Posted July 3, 2006 and....mine are LOUD!!! I get so scared I'm going to do it in public one day. They come from nowhere...you don't even feel them about to start, then all of a sudden...WHAM! I usually do it about 4-5 times really hard, then they stop. This is also my sign to Stop. TexasTerry 0 Posted July 3, 2006 I too get hiccups right after I eat. So far, they are not real big loud ones! lol !!! I figured it was my new tiny tummy next to my diaphram telling me it was full and to stop it. A little annoying, but a small price to pay to a new slimmer me! Terry:)
MsButterKup23 1 Posted July 3, 2006 Hubby and I both get them. I'm not sure if they are regular hiccups or not, they seem to happen when we are full and it helps push the food down.
