Ok, here it goes. Confession time! I have been banded for a year and a day. I have lost 50 pounds. Those 50 pounds were lost in the first six months of being banded. I haven't lost a pound since. Today is a new bright beginning for me. I am going to start and follow the bandster rules. The biggest two rules that I am awful about are: Drinking with my meals, and not exercising.

So I pledge to all my bandster friends that today is the day I get off my a$$ and start moving, start eating right, exercising, not drinking with my meals, and stop feeling sorry for myself <disclaimer, I lost my husband due to seperation> I am going to become strong and independant and I am going to lose these 50 pounds by December 31st, 2006. EEEEEEK!

Wow what a challenge it will be for me but I have called my Doc and I will get my second fill and my new bright beginning will start and develop and these pounds are going bye bye! I am determined. I will keep you all updated on my progress each week and will weight in. I will do that right now and come back with the results. I will do it nakie too! :paranoid DRUM ROLL PLEASE! 177.2 :) ARGH! Ive gained a pound! Not good. So 51 pounds to lose. I want to hit 126.

Keep me motivated guys! I so need this!!! CHEER ME ON! :clap2:

Angie, I'm here for you Sister...Tell us what kind of exercise you are doing, just putting on your favorite music and moving for 30 min. does count.

I have 55 lbs. left to lose and I want it gone by Feb.1,07...but Dec.31,06 would be even better.

Thanks everyone! I did pretty well yesterday with the eating. Went out on the Lake and did some swimming and playing around throwing a football. I so want this to start moving in the right direction! Thanks for all your kind words.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
