Aww...don't kick yourself, Samantha. Just think, 'okay, so I had a fall.' Now pick yourself up and keep going on your journey as before. Look at how well you have done so far and all the hardwork you have put in to get where you are. Be proud of yourself and just hang in there. You are doing great!!

I think we are all tempted and I think we will all end up caving at one point or another, but the trick is in pulling ourselves back up and keep moving forward.

You can do this!!

Best of wishes, Robin

Failure is not an option! Besides, you are a strong woman and like you said just get back on that wagon and go forward. :)

Whenever you fall, pick yourself up at the first possible moment and turn around. In the moment, not the next day.

You are doing great,

It's not whether you fall, IT'S WHETHER YOU GET UP.

We all fall short at one time or another. Learn from it and move on. Everyone has made really good comments. Pick yourself up and march on the way you're supposed to.

It's ok Samantha- I know exactly what you mean. I so caved yesterday. I had 3 sugar Cookies. But today I'm determined to do right and move forward so I'm eating a light yogurt for Breakfast and I'm following that up with a Water. we can get back on track together! :)

Definitely the right attitude to have, girls! I'm with ya. One of my favourite quotes that keeps me going is, "Why would you choose failure when success is an option?" I'm working on living by that!

I read something on Twitter this morning that said, "Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday." So true! Every day is a new day. We all constantly have our falls but we've gotta get back up.

x

PS. Just re-reading your first post, I kept thinking of the line in The Godfather when he's like, "Leave the gun. Take the cannoli." Maybe we sleevers would be better off doing the opposite, haha :D

I think our new Number 1 rule is: Never self-loath.

We've done enough of that in our old lives. Today is a new day... get back on track. Every single morning you wake up, it is a new opportunity to get back on the weight loss wagon. We have to learn to balance "temptations". I personally don't see anything wrong with eating delicasies from time to time. However if you have it in your brain it is forbidden, you're going to want it all the more. Instead, enjoy the cannoli... just one -- NO GUILT!!! As long as you're doing the right thing 99% of the time, and you are moving your body to work off those extra calories, and more you will do fine.

Let us not become obsessed. I know I have a hard time with that concept. I'm learning and doing better though every single day.

:)

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞
