Bumped Back to thin liquidd

Recommended Posts

Because of some severe pain under my ribs when I eat certain thick liquids I have to go back to thins for 48 hours. So disappointing.

Also I have been stuck at 200.0 for three days. I am on my third week so I'm afraid I have hit the dreaded stall.

All in all a pretty disappointing day.

Oh I am sorry- do they say why they think that will help? Do they think you still have swelling?

If it helps- I GAINED 2 pounds today on day 11. Blech. Plus I am just kinda down- sick of everything.

I guess he thinks my tummy is a little bit irritated still. The weird thing is that it's not everytime I eat. SF pudding does it and Protein Shakes do it, but not pureed Soups.< /p>

Well- one of those is warm and the other ones probably cooler- maybe it is a temperature thing. I started out unable to drink cold things and now almost prefer them. Who knows what tomorrow holds! I long for savory things that you can chew. I think my first egg will make me swoon!

Hope you get much better really fast.

Well, I lost 17 in 17 days after surgery and have been stuck at about 21 pounds lost in 6 weeks! Talk about a stall! I'm upping the Water and exercise after feeling so bad with lower bp. Getting better and stronger every day. A size is gone and I know it'll drop off eventually, but weighing isn't very exciting already!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
