Sports bras and itchiness

Recommended Posts

I've wore sports bras forever, but especially now after I kept having to buy bras over and over again. My issue is .... The skin in-between the girls are super itchy!!! It was so itchy last night ( even after putting on anti itch cream) i didn't notice that I had scratched till I bled!!! So now I have a couple little scratch marks and a whole lotta redness. Anyone else have this problem? Any help for a fix???

I wouldn't be spraying anything onto open skin. Not only, "Ouch!" but potentially not healthy and could make matters worse. Of course the right answer is, CALL YOUR DOCTOR. The answer could be as simple as fresh air and sunlight. Who knows? But once again, if you are concerned enough to post it here, then you should, CALL YOUR DOCTOR.

I was having this problem, my trick that helped was putting a little baby powder in there. I buy the Johnson and Johnson kind with cornstarch and Aloe in it. Helps with keeping everything dry and keeps me from scratching myself raw.

Hope this helps.

Sounds good! I like the cornstarch and/ or baby powder suggestion. Thanks ladies. I'll give that a try and if no luck, then off to the doctor I go. Thanks again ; )

i use baby powder as well. seems to do the trick

i was also told by my PCP to document/take pics of the redness, scratches etc. and go see her so she could document the irritation and proof that I am in discomfort so that if it keeps happening or a fungal infection occurs i have proof just in case down the road i need a lift/breast reduction wink.gif

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
