swizzly 901 Posted May 15, 2011 I had coffee a couple days after surgery, it's okay on my program, it was served to me already in hospital. So from my perspective, no problem.

So Cal Kurt 32 Posted May 15, 2011 I have a bad caffeine habit. I was back on coffee at a 4 weeks. They just said no high calorie coffee drinks. It's 4:45 am, on my way out the door for work, coffee is a must.
Raine 170 Posted May 15, 2011 I wish I could just have one cup of coffee! My doc says nothing but Decaf until after week 4. Why bother with decaf, besides that it tastes weird to me lol.
1-4-Many 2 Posted May 16, 2011 This is very good to know. I think I must be in the strictest program in the US. We do not get caffeine back until day 90. I actually have it all marked in red with a heart on my calendar as I am addicted to McDonalds unsweetened ice tea. I was told caffeine is an irritant to the stomach so they don't want that happening while you are introducing new foods because you might not know which causes a problem. Now that I know people are not dropping over dead I might just slide my tea up a few weeks if I an otherwise doing well.
