Cmsumom 5 Posted May 14, 2011 I am two weeks out- can I start eggs?
janinemaire 7 Posted May 14, 2011 You should go by your doctors guidelines, for me I was allowed a egg and was able to eat a few bites. Many people have trouble with eggs at first. I am two weeks out- can I start eggs?
Cmsumom 5 Posted May 14, 2011 Thats the problem- my doctors guide is vague- and since they mostly do lap-bands- its the eating guide for them- and eggs is no where on any of the lists all the way thru- You should go by your doctors guidelines, for me I was allowed a egg and was able to eat a few bites. Many people have trouble with eggs at first.

iegal 460 Posted May 15, 2011 Hi CMSUmom; I have the diet sleeve guide for a couple of doctors around the nation, including Cornell & Hopkins University. Send me a private message (click on my user name first) and provide your email and I will forward docs to you. eggs were sort of hard on me, scrambled at first and I still struggle at almost 8 months out. But I can do deviled and egg salad just fine. Hmmm. But good news is, the sleeve works! Best wishes. iegal
AutumnLily 77 Posted May 15, 2011 Are you on the mushy stage as a scrambled egg to me would count as a mushy. I was on Clear Liquids for 10 days then full liquids for another 10 days. Once I moved onto mushies I was happy to be rid of the fluids only.
dlflightgirl 2 Posted May 15, 2011 eggs are hit or miss. I can do a hard egg but get really sick with scrambled eggs. I've tried twice and given up on them for now.
Raine 170 Posted May 15, 2011 At my two week post op on Thursday, my doc said no, it is a soft food and to wait til week 5. His regimine was pre-op 2 weeks full liquids, post op 2 days clears, almost 2 weeks fulls until I saw him, now on mushies until I see him again on May 26th. I expect then that I will progress to softs.
