Yoda 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Buffie: just be careful...a lot of the ideas given here are NOT the full Fluid stage, but rather are the "soft food" stage (ie. scrambled eggs etc). Just be cautious not to start the soft food until it is time; stick to the full fluids for the required amount of time! Time2Live: I got my popsicles at Sobeys. I buy "DelMonte Mini Pops" (flavours are rasp-o-licious, mang-o-licious Peach, and Very Cherry). They are 40 cals, 0 fat, & 11 carb. And, oooooh so good. Plus they are only "one fingered" popsicles, if you know what I mean...so makes it easier to suck on and one does me fine! Such a treat! You are both doing well; keep it up! Woodys 0 Posted July 1, 2006 Buffie: I know its boring and just like all of us you will get impatient. But stick with what the Dr. set out for you...they have their reasons for the way they designed the post op treatment. Simple science says that if you expend more energy than your body requires i.e...cutting your calorie intake and exercising, then you will lose weight. If the scale isn't moving much right now, it will eventually. In relation to your entire life ahead of you...the next few weeks should be regarded as insignificant...look at the big picture instead of just a few "post-op" diet weeks. I had a rough time too because it was Soup, soup, soup......but I thought about the entire journey I was embarking on.....and I was rellishing in anything I was losing because at least the scale was moving in the right direction.
