These can be hard to find but their called Kims Magic Pops, they are like a light puffy cracker. They have 15 cal and 4 carbs per 4 inch cracker. One big cracker is all I need, I put hummus or peanut better or salsa, etc. and they are very satisfying. Reminds me I have to pick some up at the store.

I love Magic Pop! I get mine at Central Market. YUM! tongue.gif

Great ideas,! Excited that we have a Trader Joe's coming to my area soon! Do they have a lot of healthy foods, is that why it is so popular?

I did find cheese crackers (sounds like the homemade ones people mentioned) in the health section of our Price Chopper. Very low carbs and high Protein and ready to eat from the package. Not to the point where I can eat them though.

Thanks for the play by play Tiffykins! I tried these a few weeks ago (with cheddar-doh!) and was so dissapointed when they turned out like little limp grease pattys.

Hard cheese, here I come!!

Hi there!! My dietitian recommended Special K crackers. I eat them with tuna. I love them! I also will grab several for a snack. I keep 'Water crackers' on hand for a change too, but I can't tell you what the carb count is, my surgeon never requires his patients to do that unless they aren't losing. That's never been a problem for me. Anyway, the Water crackers with peppercorns is great!!! Otherwise, you'll be hardpressed to find a cracker that is ok, in my humble opinion. I steer clear of anything in a 'box' for the most part. =)

Hi - can anyone give me ideas of some low carb/fat crackers - looking for something to eat tuna with or Humus?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
