Gone for Good Club - July 2006

any chance I can get in on this club?:huggie:

I know I started poorly, but I'm being good now, and you are all so inspiring.

I was 371 in November, 2005. Was banded on the 17th.

As of yesterday, i weigh 221. Down 150.

My goal is 189, 32 lbs to go to goal, but I think I am gonna revise that goal. I think I'll be OK at 200-199 (I really wanna see the 1 on the scale.

best thing is I started with a 58 waist, am now wearing a 36. if I can get down to a 34, then I can say I lost 2 feet from my waist... that would be cool.

Sure you can Join Just Paul.. Just weigh yourself every wednesday and post here like this updating weekly.

I am a day late posting, but we have been out of town and I have tons of catching up to do! I need to go check out the before and after threads and see the new pics! I swore I would post some at -50lbs.....and that is getting close (although it will take me 3 weeks to lose 3 lbs at my recent rate, lmao!) If it isnt too late to update, I will post my current stats.

Just Paul, I'm so happy to see you finally crossed over to the land of sunshine, rainbows and ponies! hehe This is a great group of folks and we're happy to have ya. Your weightloss success is phenominal. Kudos to ya buddy :)

I know that weigh ins are on wednesdays and I reported no loss but my losses always seem to happen on thursdays, LOL. I am down to 184.6.

-1.4 lbs. Its something.

All you late posters, sh*t happens and sometimes we can't get online to report our weigh in, and I know it seems fairly simple to do a quick edit to get late reports put in, but it's not simple at all. Every time we edit those pages, most of the formatting is lost and has to be redone, so while it's not much to change a number it does end up being time consuming to go back in several times to update folks. So please be thoughtful of the person handling the edits for the month and report on Wednesdays with everyone else. If you just cant, then wait until next week. I'm not griping at anyone about it, just letting ya know what it takes behind the scenes to keep the updates current.

 

One more thing, for those who are fairly new. We all take a second to uncheck the "Show your signature" when posting on this thread. Quite a few of the members are on dialup, so all the big siggy lines take a long time to load and make it hard for them to enjoy reading the posts. It also makes the thread not quite so long.

I know what you mean though, I weighed this morning and was only at 222.5. Thats 1.5 pounds less than yesterday! Arggg! *laughs*

I did report yesterday and it doesn't bother me if it isn't updated till next week. I was just making conversation and reporting that I finaly had a loss, LOL. I was excited because I have been stuck for 2 or 3 weeks, LOL.

I was out of town yesterday so here are my digits......

230 (-52 total, -1 this week)

I will be gone for 8 days, therefore I will check back in on August9th! Hopefully I will have some big numbers to report. I am sure TELLY will be melted away by the time I report back! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!

My goal is to get out of these 30's, I have been STUCK there for WEEKS!! Going up and down like a rollar-coaster, I feel your pain Tricia K!

I went up today by a pound and a half despite the fact that I had the instentinal bug. Thank goodness I reported yesterday.

haha Jenn28, nope, I'm up 3lbs since yesterday's weigh in. I had 3 beef ribs, 2 pieces of chicken breasts, a few bites of homemade mashed potatoes that were hard and not completely mashed (yikes). salad, garlic bread and oh... um.. raselberry pie. Wait wait a light dannon yogurt drink. That was all in 1 sitting too. I hadn't eaten all day due to work and workouts and then BAM! Bar-B-Que time and I became a hog. Talk about Portion Control huh? I am 170lbs this morning. I will get back down by the end of the weekend.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
