My husband always makes jokes about whenever we go anywhere because he would have his wedding ring on and I never wore mine. He would say we weren't really married laughing. For about the last year it has been too tight.

Even though I was just sleeved last week I am guessing the weight I have lost so far did enough because I can put my wedding band back on. YAY!!

Yay for you! I love those types of NSV's. Even the small things can make us so happy. I think we appreciate those small accomplishments so much more than before. Congrats to you!

YAY! That's so fun.

My husband jokes like that with me all the time.

Except my rings are too big!

So now I wear them on my middle finger and he said if anyone tries hitting on me to give them the finger and say It's from my husband!

LOL!

Congratulations!

That's so awesome, Chicadee! I have the opposite problem. I got a new wedding ring after I gained so much weight. Now, 12 days after surgery, my ring is sliding all over my finger. I figure by the end of month, I may have to stop wearing it until I reach goal and then I can have it resized. I like MrsKoubik's idea, though!

It took me 6 months to get back into my original wedding ring and diamond. Its't it a great feeling? I hadn't been able to wear for them for 24 years-we have been married for 27. I still have another 25 pounds to go and they make get too big for me but then I will have them resized. These are special to me as my husband was stationed in Germany when he got them and had the engagement ring sent to his Dad to give to me as he was unable to come on leave at that time. Keep up the good work!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
