coops 1,790 Posted May 8, 2011 Trust me to feel like poo on the weekend.... I've been getting 'funny turns' - light headed and dizzy spells, slight palpations, sickness, foggy head/headache... Could it be my HRT? Are my carbs too low? Low sugar? or something else? Anyone else experienced this?
Griselda 7 Posted May 8, 2011 Do you have a blood sugar monitor (or have a friend who does that could check it?) It could be that, or low blood pressure. In any case, try to get it checked out!! coops 1,790 Posted May 8, 2011 Hey Griselda... that is a good idea... my dad has type 2 so he has a machine... I think I will pop in tomorrow and check my blood... Had a piece of wholegrain toast thinking that the good carbs would help, but it hasn't made much of a difference!! =[
fern 195 Posted May 9, 2011 It takes a while to take effect. My niece is type 1. She finds juice the best to get her blood sugars up quickly. Hope you are feeling better!!
coops 1,790 Posted May 9, 2011 Went to dad's today... tested my blood and it was 4.6 He said that was low, but I have to say I felt much better today compared to yesterday! I am going to keep an eye on it over the next couple of days/week... hopefully it is nothing!
fern 195 Posted May 10, 2011 You should try to stay between around 7-10. 4-5 is not too terrible right before you eat 3 and under is not good. Hope you're doing better today.
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted May 10, 2011 maybe you just had a a touch of a bug? I have had days where I felt like you described but it just went away on its own. I just thought it was some sort of virus.
