`JakeRoberts 0 Posted May 7, 2011 How soon after surgery were you able to drive?
pneal 5 Posted May 7, 2011 I drove after 3 days, but everyone is different.
AutumnLily 77 Posted May 7, 2011 I think it depends on what pain medication you are on. And if you have recovered from the anesthetic.I waited a couple of weeks to be on the safe side, because I did not want to be the cause of an accident due to my inability to react. I would ask your doctor as he/she should have an answer for you.
Bryn 3 Posted May 7, 2011 I was able to drive whenever I was no longer taking pain meds. I stopped taking pain meds 2 days after surgery (because I didn't find the meds to be helping and I was almost pain free). Had surgery Tuesday, drove that saturday
Infernored 5 Posted May 7, 2011 Yeah, I started driving within a couple days. I only took pain medicine for 2 days after surgery and I was fine. Not like I felt like going anywhere. I pretty much just bummed around for a week. But I went back to work after a week too and was fine.
1-4-Many 2 Posted May 7, 2011 I was allowed to drive 24 hours after my last blood thinner injection. So some of it depends on meds. I think a week is typical.
