DivaDee84 12 Posted May 7, 2011 Ok so I'm having surgery with Dr Almanza and have to stay in the Recovery House and I don't want to share a room with anyone. Anyone that has been can you let me know if you have to share a room or not??
Rootman 1,101 Posted May 7, 2011 Yes, you do. The house is quite small and they really pack them in at times. You will also share a recovery room at the clinic too. Why are you so determined to NOT share a room? Frankly you really won't care and will probably feel like crap and just want to sleep.

ToDream 18 Posted May 7, 2011 We didn't want to share a room... and there was a risk my hubby would have to sleep on a couch. We stayed at the Hotel Ticuan. It's not ideal choice but if you really want your privacy, ask to stay there instead. It's $68 a night Check out my blog for details on our journey
DivaDee84 12 Posted May 7, 2011 Thanks ToDream!! I'd prefer staying at the hotel..I'm gonna check your blog out now. I just prefer privacy and comfort. Thanks for the reply!!
dishdiva 5 Posted May 7, 2011 I totally understand. Yeah, it's no big deal, but considering what you're going through -- if the option for privacy at a hotel nearby is available, why not? This whole journey is about taking care of your needs! Good luck. Thanks ToDream!! I'd prefer staying at the hotel..I'm gonna check your blog out now. I just prefer privacy and comfort. One secret is to ask the restaurant downstairs for JUST broth, they have THE BEST broth i ever tasted in my life! I think it cost me 4 bucks for a huge bowl so be ready to bring some back to your room. The drivers kinda forgot about me during some trips so you have to remind them your there lol! overall i wouldnt have done it any other way!!
DivaDee84 12 Posted May 7, 2011 Ok great! Hotel Ticuan it is! I viewed pics online and it looked very nice and clean. Did you have to book your room ahead of time??
ybnormal 21 Posted May 7, 2011 I don't blame you at all for not wanting to share a room with a stranger. I wouldn't do it either, but I'm a chicken lol Renee`

Yes, that was the part that sucked. The constant going back and forth to the clinic was a PITA and it was painful bouncing along the streets.
ToDream 18 Posted May 7, 2011 Ok great! Hotel Ticuan it is! I viewed pics online and it looked very nice and clean. Did you have to book your room ahead of time?? We booked it ahead of time but you don't HAVE to. One person in our group asked to go to the hotel the day we got there when he found out it was an option. If you do pre-book, make sure you tell the coordinator of the arrangements.
