I do not agree with you at all about this not being appropriate forum, is this not where hundreds of patients with the lap band go after surgery for support and to locate providers.

Would you not want to know if the provider you found was illegally solicitating you and was not even a medical professional yet held themselves out to be licensed? If I had been worned before I would never had to experience what I did and maybe by posting the truth which is all like I said public information, one phone call is all it takes to find out that every word I said is the truth.

I just wanted to help some other poor overweight person before Eric got ahold of them too. Please take no offense to what I post I just want everyone to be forewarned about this and to look into this before having him take care of you medically.

I would want to know if there is information about a surgeon out there. Just ignore those that say this isn't the forum. Thanks

Southbeach, you can share your information and experience in other ways besides making accusations of criminal activity. I'm not going to close this thread because this time you're being civil.

Can you share your experience with us? Don't talk about what other people might or might not have had happen to them--what happened to you?

I dont take the least offence to people posting things like that, but I'd be careful what you say about people on forum's like this. You could put yourself at risk of legal action. However right you are.

It seems his name has been tossed around here before, and he is a memeber of this board. I did a search on google and came up with this other thread from a year ago. http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7168

I think it is just best for people to do a lot of research on their doctors, whether it is for fills, the surgery itself, or even their nutrition and psych consults. I do not know anything about this guy, but personally there is enough stuff on the net about him to make me nervous enough not to go to him. But everyone must make their own choices.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
