Sap Soon 3 Posted May 4, 2011 Hello Everyone, Looking for suggestions for surgeons in the Dallas area? If possible please provide what you liked/disliked? How was the follow up post surgery? Thank you.
Firefly2 9 Posted May 4, 2011 Sap Soon, I used Dr. Nirmal Jayaseelan at Medical City. I highly recommend him. He answered all of my questions prior to surgery. Calmed my nerves right before surgery and now post-op I have my follow up visits with his nurse, but if he sees me in the hall or waiting to be seen by his nurse, he always asks how I'm doing. Overall a great experience.
Michelle Cicerello 6 Posted May 5, 2011 Hi ~ I am using Dr Nick Nicholson at Baylor hospital, I haven't had my surgery yet (its Monday) but he and his office have been there EVERY step of the way and are the nicest people I have encountered in the medical field. Good luck with your decision. Hello Everyone, Looking for suggestions for surgeons in the Dallas area? If possible please provide what you liked/disliked? How was the follow up post surgery? Good luck with your decision. I just went for my first consult with Dr. Nicholson last week. I'm also in the medical field (medical billing) and was very impressed with his office. He was very kind and answered all my questions. His staff and I have emailed each other in the past couple of days regarding surgery info/questions I had. Glad you liked him. Can't wait to see how your surgery goes. Oh and I saw him at Baylor in Plano.

I also liked Dr. Harry Meyers but I am a self pay and Nicholson had financing available!!! Good luck to you! Michelle...you too! I will be a couple of weeks after you! NtvTxn 1,262 Posted May 5, 2011 I posted on the other link, but thought I would here as well. Everyone listed the doctors I recommended except for Dr. David Kim and my surgeon, Dr. James Davidson. You can't go wrong, you've got a list of top notch names, the best of the best! Again, good luck! Hello Everyone, Looking for suggestions for surgeons in the Dallas area? I had my first seminar with Dr. Nicholson earlier today (May 17), I have to say it went real well. I am going to be setting a follow up meeting with him. He mentioned that he has done about 7500 surgeries (lap band/gastric bypass/sleeve). I asked him specifically how many sleeves and he mentioned approximately 2000 (which is a good number I think). He has also performed on some high risk patients (with previous heart related diseases/patient waiting on heart transplant). Also, he said that they had 1 major complication (out of 2000) in a sleeve patient.
