My heartfelt apology!!

Recommended Posts

Well June 20th was my surgery date and I canceled because I am trying to get my insurance company to pay through appeals. I posted a message on the 20th out of frustration and questioned whether or not my doctor's "insurance expert" was sending forms into my insurance. You see, there was miscommunication and hard feelings on my part. and I found out that she indeed sent and did everything that was in her power to help me. I was so frustrated and I turned to all of you on this site for help when I should have contacted her and directly asked her.

I would like to apologize to her and thank her for the help that she has given.

Many of you were very insightful and I appreciate the advice. I do have faith in my doctor and his staff and hope that I can get all of the insurance stuff resolved so I can start my new life.

Sincerely,

Michele

I wish you the very best Michele. I understand the frustrations that came develop when it seems an insurance company holds so much power over your future. This is a highly emotional time and everyone of us understand that.....no need to apologize. Aren't you thankful for such a place where you can yell, scream, cry and even shout with joy if you want to? Before long, you will have a different story to tell. Keep us informed and ask questions. Chances are, there is someone on here that has walked in your shoes. Hang in there!! :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
