Unjury Unflavored Protein

Recommended Posts

The directions says to mix one scoop into your favorite cold beverage or add to your Soup, not hotter than 130 degrees. Um, that is a huge scoop to disolve! Any ideas or suggestions with this stuff? 7 days post op and I know I'm not getting enough Protein so I thought I would try it, then I saw the size of the scoop, holy cow Batman!!! :/

Divide it into 2 servings. You might have to use more Water than directed. I'm not trying to be a "debbie downer", but just a little warning, just because it says 'unflavored" doesn't mean it's tasteless. So, when you mix it, don't be alarmed that it gives you a funky taste.

what about re-heating something after you have already mixed it with Soup? Thanks,

I can get a full scoop to dissolve in 8oz. Not right away, mind you. I"ll put 8oz of Water or milk in a shaker bottle, and the powder, shake it and let it sit for about a half hour or more, shake it again and it's all dissolved.

probably even faster if you have a blender.

But yah, the unflavored isn't flavorless. And it's not the flavor so much as the smell that I have a probelm with. So I don't sip directly from the glass, but instead sip from a straw (to keep my nose from getting too close to it)

The unflavored is not the best. Do you have the chicken Soup flavor? At 7 days post op that was my best option, plus it was warm and that went down easily. If you do reheat it you still have to adhere to the temp guildline on the package or if it gets too hot it can get funky.

A-MEN to the funky taste. I wasted nearly 70 bucks on 3 containers of the chicken Soup and unflavored powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. Yikes! I couldn't handle A-N-Y of it, and I really tried. I hope you like it. Lots of people do. But I am just sensitive to tastes I guess. That's one reason I can't stand the after-taste of artificial sweeteners.

You are SO right about the scoop being gigantic. blink.gif

Oh boy, I'm trying with that stuff! Not so great but only bought one tub of the unflavored. I think I'm just going to add a little bit to to stuff with a lot of flavor so I don't taste it as much lol. Thanks, all!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
