Well I'm back to complain again! I was sleeved on Jan.18 2011, weighing 194..today I weigh 172..that's only 22 pounds in 3 months! I know I don't get in all my Protein but I also barely eat. How can we consume so little food and not loss weight much faster? Im thankful for the progress but I should be down at least 40 pounds by now.

Your body will hold onto every pound until you get all the Water and nutrients you need. I got out of a stall that way. Work on getting more Protein and nutrients in. That should help

If you are not eating enough...you stop losing weight. Body is in survival mode. Get in more calories, get in your protiens, take your suppliments, get in required liquids, remove caffine and limit carbs to no more than 30 grams a day. Be brutal. Track everything you eat for one week following sleeve diet guideline. Enjoy foods on your diet plan. Lastly, you did not mention excercise. Are you walking or excercising daily? Even a 15 minute walk a day is a place to start.

Try this for a week and write back. Sleeve is only a tool to use for weight loss. You can do this!

I just heard the same thing on another thread. I to have stalled, but I'm 5months out and have issues with sever GERD, I know I am not hitting my Water intake or my Protein. They are very important.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
