I'm freezing. Absolutely freezing. I can't get warm. I definitely did this at the right time of the year for me. I have a strong suspicion this will be an air conditioning free summer for me.

I knew this would happen but I wasn't expecting it in the first week. Brrrrrrrrrrrr

I hear you on the freezing part! Some days I am good and others there is nothing I can do to get warm. This means I will not be uncomfortable this summer. Yahooooooo

So exciting to go shopping in summer and not end the trip with my head soaked with sweat.

Ah, I know. I live in central Cali, where summers get to 110 degrees on occasion, and people are already complaining about the heat here- and today I wore a sweater. I've been freezing constantly. This makes me excited.

However I have feelings that this summer when I visit canada I wont feel the same. LOL

I was expecting to be freezing because people talk about it a lot. I am not freezing really at all. I'm slightly chillier than normal, but I still get hot when it's warranted by the weather or my activities lol. I am happy not to freeze right now, but I'm hoping that I also won't get too hot when it's high summer and the AC is crap. :D

I'm right there with you guys...Prior to surgery I would seat batting an eyelash! Now I feel like Goldie Locks. I'm just right!! There are sometimes when I feel chilled, which is so very strange to me.

Is this something that will always be? Will it change back? I sure hope not, since I live in Texas where the summers can be so miserable. :(

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
