Bryn 3 Posted May 3, 2011 I have 2 weeks left at home and I'm about drained of watching youtube vids on WLS journies/recipes. I know there are a few books out there about WLS and I miss my old days of spending hours in Barnes and Nobles so I was wondering if there are folks who could recommend some decent books to purchase so I can spend some free time reading Regular readings or recipe books are both ok. Thanks in Advace
juliarh 35 Posted May 3, 2011 Eat it Up! by Connie Stapleton Ph.D. (about WLS in general) and Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes -- both excellent books Hope that helps!
juliarh 35 Posted May 3, 2011 Regular books: A Dog's Purpose (a tearjerker) by W. Bruce Cameron; Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford; The Help by Kathryn Stockett These were all really good reads!
****** 12 Posted May 3, 2011 After watching one of Julie's videos, I bought Why we get Fat and Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes. I also read A Guide to Weight Loss Surgery: Professional and Personal Views by Rhonda Hamilton. I believe they helped me make an informed decision (of course aided by all the info here on VST and OH).
