Terrib 1 Posted April 29, 2011 My surgery is set for May 5th, and once again, I have a fever. I'm a little afraid they will cancel my surgery. I have no idea why I have a fever, I don't feel sick, just headachey and I'm cold. The thing is, I had to redo some of my labs because my white blood count was high last time, I was on the verge of a double ear infection. So I thought i might have had a fever last night, because I felt cold (ya know how you can just tell) so this morning Ihad a headache, took 2 Tylenol and a few hours later felt fine, and went to get my last batch of labs done. I've seriously been sick non stop since I stopped smoking in February. One thing right into another. Well, I'll just hope for the best. but the way mt luck has been it won't be good. Michelle Cicerello 6 Posted April 30, 2011 Stay positive - you may have some sinus issues going on, they are bad right now. I will send positive thoughts your way so you can get through your labs with flying colors! Michelle My surgery is set for May 5th, and once again, I have a fever. BajaMedGroup 6 Posted April 30, 2011 Hey Terib...although it would be a bummer to have your surgery canceled, make sure you DO tell your doctor about this fever. You will receive antibiotics during and after the surgery, but you still have to be on the same page with the whole medical staff. Let's hope your fever goes away by itself, but you should take it easy these next few days. Best, Dr. JSA
Terrib 1 Posted April 30, 2011 Thanks so much for the positive thoughts and great advice. My temp was 99.0 this morning, so that's a good sign. My prep doctor is nearly psychic, I don't know how, but she knows everything. (she's a little scary) She's a teeny little woman who pointed her bony little finger at me and told me NO SMOKING. and man oh man did I oblige. If I want this surgery I will obey. So I will tell her about my fever. or else she'll just call me out on it. lol
