FineGaPeach 2 Posted April 29, 2011 Ok it's been three days since I was sleeved. I came home yesterday. I am in so much pain. I have walked and walked and walked. Luckily I have finally passed gas and that made me feel so much better. I begin to ask myself why did I do this to myself. I am not a happy camper. I have cussed myself up one side and down the other. But my doctor says that I'm doing really good b/c I doing alot of things on my own. I just want all of this gas to go away. kellyw74 258 Posted April 29, 2011 If you read on here, a lot of people, actually most, have gas. AND almost all have "buyer's remorse." Don't beat yourself up too bad. You will be so happy once you feel a little better. I have not been sleeved yet, 10 days!!, but I have read so much to know what you are feeling is normal and everyday will get better! Then when you are a little ways out, you will be so happy you did it! Good luck to you! Kelly

sunnyd 32 Posted May 3, 2011 Walk, Walk, Walk! It really does seem to help the gas go away. When I was first out I think all I did was sip, walk, rest. Boring but it seemed to work. Good luck and I hope that gas goes away quickly!
Fel 0 Posted May 10, 2011 Wow, I'm so sorry to hear. Well just keep in mind this is with any surgery- its not because you got sleeved, you have "done this to yourself". My father just had prostate surgery, and he had the same gas pains. Now I see what I have to look forward to when I am sleeved in a couple of months. But from what I've read, after the gas has 'passed', it is all better after that. I hope you feel better soon!
denise39 0 Posted May 13, 2011 I was sleeved on the 6th so now officially one week, the first few days are the worse, In minnesota they keep us in the hospital for 3 days, the nurses really keep you on a schedule of pain med/nausea meds and walking really helps, also on Clear liquids for 7 days after surgery. I did not feel that I had so much "gas" pain, I had just downright pain, in the middle of my stomach. I does get better, today was my best day so far. Hope you feel better soon and lots of happy weight lost to you.
