Ocean Eyes 1 Posted April 28, 2011 I just posted these books in a separate thread but thought others may also benefit from them as well. I have been seeing a therapist for my bipolar disorder over the past few years and she has been instrumental in helping me cope with the changes in my mind and body since the sleeve. There are two books she suggested to me that I will recommend to other fellow sleevers who struggle with eating and mental health: Mindless Eating: Why We Eat More Than We Think by Brian Wansink Changing Our food, Changing Ourselves: Women, Food, Relationships, & Culture by Karen Burke These have been very insightful and have helped me gain a better understanding of why we eat. If anyone wishes to talk about mental health issues in a more private setting, please feel free to PM me.
BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted April 28, 2011 I'd also like to recommend "Overcoming binge eating," but that's most fitting for those that have not yet been sleeved, as it features relatively high-calorie meal plans. But even if you don't do the diet and log, it's still an interesting read.
Foxbins 625 Posted April 28, 2011 Dr. Stephen Gullo's "Thin Tastes Better." He has some helpful strategies for understanding why and when you eat.
