Skinnyagain 12 Posted April 28, 2011 Ok so I have not lost 1 pound in 4 weeks and I am 6 weeks out. I had my 6 week post op today and showed my food log, and excercise log to the dr. I have been following my instruction by the book. He said that everyone stalls, but mine came very early and has lasted longer than he expected. Not encouraging words I might add, even the Dr is baffled. So I told him that I started boot camp today and the response I got was "well be pre-pared to not see the scale move. If you are doing boot camp then prepare your self for an extended stall". WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess because I am short at 5 foot, and weigh 190 my body has to build muscle to burn fat ( which I know), but I have done boot camp before surgery so it's not like I have no muscle at all. But to have my Dr not have a clue as to why I have not lost in 4 weeks, then tell me that if I do boot camp I am sure not to loose for even longer period of time, I am just at a loss for words. I am just so discouraged right now. :( :(
NJMOMof2 17 Posted April 28, 2011 That is unbelievable!!! I can't imagine you not losing weight the first 4 weeks. Just keep your chin up and keep doing the right thing....It will happen for you.
Amanda131 214 Posted April 28, 2011 Is there a possibility that you are going too low on calories and that has your body in a funk and refusing to let go of the pounds? That's happened to me and I've noticed a lot of posts on here that people have broken a stall by uping the calories. Just a thought. Stay strong, I can't imagine how frustrating this is for you.
