Leaving on a jet plane....

Recommended Posts

So the last few months I had a few what ifs, but they were eased by some very nice messages, So now im getting ready to leave for the airport and everything is making get worried... I know that bad things will happen if I stay on the track i am on, but I keep thinking that I want to back out of the whole deal. Anyone else have these same issues? BTW good luck to everyone having surgery! mellow.gif

I think most people have their doubts about having the surgery due to the "what ifs". I did until I researched the heck out of the surgery. I reassured myself that this was my best option and that I had to either go through with it and have a good chance at becoming healthy or remain obese the rest of my life. As you can see I chose health. I think it is normal to be afraid. You will do fine. Just remember to walk walk walk and sip sip sip. See you on the losers bench.

I think its normal. it's a huge decision we're making! At least it better be normal because I'll be seeing you there in 2 days! Good luck tomorrow!

Been there, done that. Wanted to call the airline and change my return flight as soon as I got there. nearly barfed a few times too.

I stuck through it, as you will too. I'm now 100+ pounds down in less than 5 months. You can do it too.

Once you see how relatively painless this procedure is, you will regret having so much doubt about it. Think of it as an adventure. You have a boatload of friends here to help you and guide you along the way. All of us doubted our decision. I've yet to see someone who regretted doing this! GO FOR IT! And keep us posted on your adventure!

Yay! I think the flight will be the scariest part for me. My c-sections were more risky than this and the only "what-if" I'm concerned with is, what if this is the best decision I will ever make for myself in my life. Interested in learning how it goes for you. I have a three month wait ahead of me, but I'll be seeing Dr. Almanza on August 5th and I've never been more excited.

Yeah, I had never been on a plane before so i kept having thought that the plane was going to break down in the air lol everyone is super nice so far at the hospital.

How'd it go??

I have flown plenty before, but not in 3 years and since then I have had a recurring dream of turbulence and crash. I am scared witless of take off, but I have 3 months and a good shrink. Maybe she will give me something to get through it. LOL.. I think it stems from some pretty bad/scary turbulence the last time I flew to D.C., haven't been on a plane since.

Hi...the gas was awful for me too! I used the infant's Mylicon drops and they helped tremendously...who thought that gas could actually give you back pain...lol. I also walked alot and that helped to relieve the gas. Good luck after the first 5 days your gas should be alot better.

Hi, I hope everything continues to go well with your surgery. I'm a newbie...my surgery is scheduled for July. May I ask, how bad is the pain?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
