Jordan1923 27 Posted October 25, 2012 Hi All Well the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury I ordered finally arrived after 3 wks it cost me 26.00 taxes after crossing the border on a 153.00 order and I hate the stuff. I tried the chicken Soup and its awfull cant get it hot enough for Soup otherwise it clumps and if heated at recommended temp it is too cold. It also tastes like someone poured milk in my chicken soup. So I tried the cheese sauce, it is awful too. It smells horrible and tastes like melted cheese whiz but with a stronger chemical taste. The flavoured and unflavoured powders are ok with juices though. So I would only recommend the the cold stuff, stay away from the hot stuff. I sure wasted alot of money on this order. allnewme 262 Posted October 25, 2012 I use the Unjury chicken daily, here is how I do it. I heat about 1/3 cup of Water in the microwave just enough to warm it up. Then add that to your mug and a scoop of the chicken powder, and any seasonings you want to add. I have one of the tiny milk frother blenders and I use it to blend that until it is smooth. While doing that, I heat my other 3/4 cup of water till it is very warm, then while still blending, add the hot water. It mixes up smooth each time. DO NOT add cold water to mix it or heat it in the micro after you have mixed it up, it will make you want to be sick just looking at it. (It curdles). The chicken Soup is the only way that I can get any drinkable Protein in but you have to work with it some. The seasonings help so much. If that fails, call them and send it all back. They have a money back guarantee. I just bought their Multi Vitamins and they are going back, my sleeve does not like them at all.

Dreamingofhealth 223 Posted November 22, 2012 Hello everyone. This may be the wrong spot to post this but I am new to this whole thing.. I was wondering if anyone from British Columbia paid for their own surgery by being financed? If so how? And did it bump up the wait time? I am currently on the wait list for MSP to cover it, but by what I'm reading and what my doctor says, it could be years before I even get a consult call. (I would be going to Richmond) I'm just scared because I'm feeling like I don't have a few years of wait in me. Can anyone tell me approximately how long they were on the waiting list for? And also, after having your initial consultation, how long did it take until surgery time? Thanks so much in advance!!! And congratulations to all of you who are having great success and who will be 'losers' very soon! -Sheena
DivineMissM 60 Posted November 22, 2012 Sheena.. I am in Victoria and MSP paid for my surgery. I hear that the Richmond group are awaiting funding before they can start up again. Here is Victoria, there are 3 surgeons who do bariatric surgery. They all have similar criteria.. Lose 10% of your weight and keep a journal of your food & exercise. Now, of the 3, one puts you on the wait list immediately, and he has a wait list as long as your arm. The other 2 dont' until you have met the criteria. I had my initial consultation in July and was sleeved 2 weeks ago. I am happy to talk to you anytime, and you can email me marcy@shaw.ca
jjjennifer 9 Posted February 3, 2013 Hi: I was sleeved in Edmonds Washington on November 30, 2012 and have lost 35 pounds including the 12 I lost pre-op. I didn't want to wait and maybe get denied for coverage by BC Med or have my own doctor tell me (again) that I could lose the weight by myself. As we all know losing the weight is not the problem, it is keeping it off. I am so stoked about this journey and am thinner now than I have been in years. The weight isn't flying off but the scale is consistently going in the right direction. For the first time in knowable history I am not actively on a diet or off a diet I am just eating until I feel restriction and then stopping. I have had some difficulty knowing which bite is the last one and have had hiccups and cramps a few times. Besides learning my new anatomy I am so thrilled with this journey! For anyone that has the resources and can consider having surgery in Washington State I highly recommend Puget Sound Bariatric and Dr. Landerholm. My experience with them has been first class the whole way. I have virtually no scars and my recovery was super fast. Jennifer

wackiemama 12 Posted June 21, 2013 Hope you are on your way to a speedy recovery and enjoying your new journey. If you don't mind me asking' date=' how long did you wait to see Dr. Sampath?[/quote'] My family doctor sent a Referral to Dr. Sampath October 2011, I got a call to go see Dr. Sampath November 2012, so 1 year wait. With having no co- moralities, following everything he said to do and the Garrett wellness Center said to do I was scheduled and had surgery in 6 months!! Good luck. Are you thinking about getting referral or have you already got one and are waiting to see Dr. Sampath?
