mankamals 0 Posted April 23, 2011 Hi Friends, First of all, thank you all. I have not been a member, but have been reading your contributions for motivation and for relieving my post op anxiety too. You guys are excellent!!! I had my surgery on 16th Apr 2011. This means I'm completing almost a week post op!!! So far, the journey has many ups and downs. Initial 2 days in hospital were horrible. I had severe post op anxiety and was questioning myself constantly if I had done the right thing or not. But as the surgical pain subsided, I have started adjusting to the situation. It would take time, of course!! I have been on liquids and shall continue to be on them for another two weeks. I had severe problem with burps. After every sip,. I had small burps, which if stuck, would make me feel as if I'm going through a heart attack. Discomfort was great. But I have now found a solution, which might be of great help for everyone on liquid diet stage. It is SPORTS BOTTLE!!!!! Drink from a sports bottle and you'll find it's not only easier to sip small, but also the discomfort from burps will disappear in a day of practicing!!! Shall be a regular here. See you soon. Cheers all!!!!

meggiep 57 Posted April 24, 2011 The camelback sports bottle is especially awesome- it has this rubber cover for the sip straw that keeps air out and forces small sips. I have two- one holds 32 ounces for my Water and a stanless steel insulated one to keep Protein Shakes really cold that is 20 ounces..
