What is your coffee shop order?

I double checked on caffeine with my NUT today and he said it was fine, within reason. He said if I choose to drink it to boost my Water intake to counter the diuretic effects, so no biggie.

sound good to me thanks!! I may partake in a little jo!! for some reason I thought they said only Decaf b/c of possible ulcers..but im sure the pepcid they percribed will defeat that ...

I order a venti caramel light frap, caramel drizzle on top, with a dome lid :) from Starbucks...I tried switching over to McD's caramel ice coffee, but they are not consistent and sometimes its so blah, so I'm back to Starbucks :)

I orser exactly the same from Starbucks!

My Dr specifically told me no high calorie coffee drinks. I probably do drink too much regular coffee for my own good. I take it no sweetner with either 2% milk or my indulgence of half and half. Empty calories from drinks have been out of my life for a very very long time. Well except for the whiskey and bourbon. They haven't come up with low calorie Jack Daniel's or Maker's Mark yet. Some bad habits simply can't be totally overcome.

I used to work with some French people, all of whom drank espresso's straight up .. no sugar. They don't even eat the little cookie that comes with. So I picked up this habit and shocked the first Starbuck's employee who asked me .. what, you don't need sugar ? Nope!

But post VSG, I just drink Americano black, short.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
