PrincessFluffy 2 Posted April 21, 2011 I am one week out. The night of my surgery was spent in the hospital and I slept on my back. Night 2 I was home and was able to sleep on my right side. The left was too sore. I slept on my right side for the next few days. Now after 1 week, I can sleep on either with no problems and no pain meds.
Rev Me Up! 75 Posted April 22, 2011 I think the answer to both questions is: whenever it feels right to you. I still have a hard time laying on my side and I am 6 weeks out. Need lots of pillow support. I haven't even tried to lay on my stomach. As for the sex, I was back in the saddle day 7, but I was just laying there, you know what I mean? I was taking the "no lifting, no exercise" thing very seriously. I wasn't an "active" participant for a couple more weeks, but luckily my partner was willing to do all the work :-) Enjoy! mandems mom 3 Posted April 22, 2011 Thank you so much everyone!! I took a lot of your advice and started REALLY slowly last night and kept a big king sized pillow pressed up against my tummy the entire night. I rolled over to my left side just slightly with the pillow against me and it was HEAVEN!! I actually got 5-6 straight hours of sleep which is ALOT. I don't typically get more than that because I have a son who has night terrors in the middle of the night and 9 month old whose sleeping pattern is completely off since I left for surgery. Needless to say I feel soooo much better and refreshed today and I can't thank you enough!!! I think I'll be waiting until day 10 or so to get it on, but my hubby is sooo understanding and supportive that he would never complain. Thanks again...you guys are all so wonderful!
