samantha209 19 Posted April 20, 2011 I am usually the one who drives everyone everywhere...i haven't driven since sleeve date 4/11 as my surgeon says no driving for a week. I have my follow up and I am driving there today. Something so simple excites me.. I am totally independent and hate being a burden to everyone. And i miss driving my truck

fatBgone 6 Posted April 20, 2011 Oh Sam209 that no driving would have killed me. Luckily, I was ok'd to drive as soon as I was off the prescription pain meds and that was 2 days post surgery. Not driving feels like your freedom is gone! Glad you are back behind the wheel!
kids05 4 Posted April 20, 2011 I drove today too! Surgery was 4/12! Driving was ok, but I drove to my doc appt in the professional building at the hospital where I had surgery. LONG WALK!!! Had to park on the flippin roof! That was way more than I had bargined on! 1 1/2 hour nap when I go home, I was whooped! LOL...it was nice to ride alone...music all mine, no noise..oh and out of the house! Yippie! Congrats to you too!
