Buckeye62 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Hi Everyone, I have been instructed to eat 6 small meals per day. I notice that the maker of the band states 3 small meals per day with no Snacks in between. Just curious as to what everyone else is doing, espically those of you who are having great success.
hefftynetty 1 Posted June 27, 2006 I am very curious about this as well. I tried to do both, 3 meals and the 6 meals I must be doing something wrong because I am not having great success with either. Right now I am trying to just do liquids, not having great success.
Leila 0 Posted June 27, 2006 My Dr. recommrnfd 3 small meals a day with nutrient dense Protein and Fiber, focusing on natural low fat low sugar foods. Plus 2 Snacks a day high in protein Vitamins and minerals. Meal sizes should be less than one cup of food. Stop as soon as full. Solid foods -only- and never drinking with meals to make sure that food passes through the pouch slower so you feel full and satisfied longer with less hunger. Plus chewable Multi-Vitamin and chewable Calcium. - I'm still on post surgery liquids though, I start mushies tommorow! yay!
JJB 2 Posted June 27, 2006 I was told to eat 3 4 ounce meals a day. And no Snacks. I do have a little snack once a day though. In between lunch and dinner I get a craving for something sweet.
Jachut 487 Posted June 27, 2006 6 meals a day doesnt work that great for me, I tend to eat way more overall when I do this. I do better on a 3 meals absolutely no Snacks plan, when I eat 6, I tend to eat 6 meals the same size as I would 3 if you know what I mean. Its a personal thing, not a hard and fast rule. Go with what works best for you.
Carlene 12 Posted June 27, 2006 I eat 3 meals a day and a snack. I used to eat TWO Snacks, but I can't eat after dinner or I will get reflux. Today my snack was a small fat free, sugar free smoothie (black cherry).
roggie 0 Posted June 28, 2006 With my line of work I am lucky to get in 2 meals a day. After my first adjustment it seemed that my docotr changed his rules about Water. He now wants you to wait 2 hours before and 2 hours after a meal. That is impossible, at least for me. I have a lawn and landscape business in Louisiana and there is no way I am willing to give up water PERIOD! So for Breakfast I do Protein Shake and the same for lunch. For dinner I do a small meal. On the days I have off, which are few and far between this time of the year, I will have a regular breakfast and a regular lunch.
LapBandit 5 Posted June 28, 2006 My doc says 6 meals per day, no exceptions. Every practice seems to have a different "plan".

puddin 7 Posted June 28, 2006 I usually do 3 meals a day and one snack in between lunch and dinner. I can eat like a cup and a half at meals. I know I need a fill but I keep stinkin getting stuck! I get this first bite PB syndrome all the time now. I have no idea what's up!
