So smoking doesnt affect the band at all does it? Just recovery, my Mom smokes and around me, trust me Ive inhaled enough 2nd hand smoke to constitute for smoking and I was fine

its best if you can try 2 pack up smoking as it makes it more dangerous when having an op. you will be more suseptable 2 infection as smoking lowers the imunity system and can not fight off bugs as well. i got an infection and could not fight it off i would of been stronger if i hadnt smoked.

Okay now I'm worried...I told my surgeon that I quit smoking on October 12th. I've stayed faithful to that but that is only stopping 29 days out ...alot said they were ordered for two months. Hoping I won't have breathing problems post surgery.
