I want food so so badly...it's ridiculous. I'm hungry and can't figure out what will fill me up long enough to hold me. It SUCKS. I find myself wanting to eat every 2 hours or so. sad.gif

Any ideas to help?

So far today I have had

2 Protein shakes

32oz of Water

16 oz of iced tea

12 oz of coffee

1 cup of Tomato Soup w/ Protein powder

1 cup of butternut squash Soup.

1 sugar free popsicle

I'm going to grab another 32oz bottle of Water out of the fridge. I can drink 3-5 Protein Shakes per day so I've done 3 (the Tomato Soup w/ Protein Powder counts as 1 of them) Maybe I'll do another this afternoon before dinner...which will be more soup w/ Protein powder. I'm not sure what to do sad.gif other than watch movies and drink water and sleep. 4 more days right?

Not feeling so desperate now, threw some Protein powder and a crystal light packet into my 32oz of Water. Still have to make the kids lunch treats for the week (home made granola bars) so used to snacking on the seeds and chocolate chips, maybe I'll just have my oldest make them with supervision instead of me....

I was allowed as much as I wanted of sf Jello. There were days when I ate the whole six pack in addition to all the other liquids but I needed it!

lol - the whole six pack- like they are these big things- you cracked me up with that- but maybe I am just tired- lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
