iI had my sleeve done through alighterme.com"s Dr.Ramos Kelly. 3/15/11 and I must say I had a great experience down there. I totally trust him and felt very confident in my choice long before I even met him. When I DID meet him, I knew I had made the right decision. He has a caring bedside manner and will answer any questions you may have. His calm demeanor puts you at ease right away.

I'm glad I chose him for my surgery and I would do it again in a heartbeat! If you have any questions I can help with, please send me a message. Good Luck!

I also went with Dr Ramos-Kelly and had an amazing experience. I did NOT work through any US coordinator I worked directly with Trish his personal coordinator in TJ. I got great service, personal attention and feel like I made a life long friend in Trish and Dr Kelly. They have changed my life forever!

Do your research - but I can personally recommend Dr Kelly!

I also had my VSG through Dr. Kelly. I made all my plans through Sandy and Alighterme.com. She was extremely helpful through all the arrangements. When I finally reached TJ, and met the hospital staff including the doctor, I was put at ease. I just can't say enough about the treatment I received. I feel that Dr. Kelly is the best. What a fine gentleman he was. Treated me and my weight problem with respect and concern. If you choose A lighter me, you will have no regrets. Plus, you'll be a part of the Dr. Kelly family. Good luck to you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
