My butt hurts!

Recommended Posts

Apparently, for years I have carried my own chair cushion on my butt. Mass transit, seats at the ballpark, concerts on horrible folding chairs--all were tolerable. Well, today I went to a training and there were these awful molded plastic seats and within an hour I was squirming and shifting from cheek to cheek. How do skinny people stand this? It hurts! Don't the makers of these chairs know that they are uncomfortable? Will my butt bones get callused eventually, or should I go buy a for-real cushion to bring with me to these sorts of events?

HA HA...I thought I was the only bony rear end. Sad that I resemble my grandmother from behind. Also sleeping on my side is now uncomfortable since the hips bones have no padding. Ah - the complaints of the skinnies. What a joy to have these burdens.

Gotta run, watching an ad on TV about Brazilian Butt excercises.

I had my nutrition class this weekend and the nutritionist said there's something about the sleeve, where your butt just falls right off you! LOL!

I'll take it. But you mgiht be able to build up your gluts. Put some muscle over those bones.

The funny thing is, DH and I were just discussing this earlier. Even though I still have roughly 60 lbs to lose, my butt is bony. It's still nice and round, (TMI I know..) but them butt bones hurt... LOL :D

TMI ALLERT!!!

I posted somewhere else...my butt has a double chin! The fat is almost gone and the skin is still working at tightening up (I hope) and has made a (not) lovely little double chin hanging at the 'bottom'. I do glut exercises, and will continue to do so... but its not enough yet....))

Tell me about it, my dance teacher loves to get us doing full sit-ups on the hardwood floor (no mats or anything), and I can't get through the whole set because of the excruciating pain in my tailbone! Yet somehow my butt is still fairly big, but the fat I have left seems to have collected at the bottom.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
