Oopsseedaisy 90 Posted April 11, 2011 I am in the soft stage and would like some suggestions on a snack I can carry in my purse. Any ideas would be appreciated. 1 Bulldawgma reacted to this
M2G 1,836 Posted April 11, 2011 I don't know exactly what your surgeon's plan for soft stage calls for, but for me at 3 weeks out, I could eat a cheese stick (no Protein bars yet). Be careful with nuts, etc. too, they weren't on my plan that early either. My 2 fav. portable cheese are Precious Sticksters (pure cheddar) and Babybel Original. Perfect size and texture. You can also try premier Protein shakes (or any of your favs) to pack along with you. I hope that helps.
Rev Me Up! 75 Posted April 11, 2011 I carry string cheese - it stays cold for a little while and is very yummy! Also, its easy to find at 7-11 just in case I get caught without it. I tried a Luna Protein bar over the weekend and I liked it - a little high cal/carb, but satisfying and definitely purse friendly.
Foxbins 625 Posted April 11, 2011 I don't know if they qualify as soft, but those little cans of already-prepared chicken or tuna salad (the kind with the crackers) is a great carry-along as they don't require refrigeration. I just eat the salad and chuck the crackers or give them away.
Billy363627 15 Posted April 11, 2011 I would have to agree with all of you. I personally give my wife a cheese stick and put it in her purse. It dont matter if it is cold or warm it is good..
Beverly 0 Posted April 12, 2011 Like others have said- cheese sticks are great. I also would take a slice of deli turkey and a wedge of laughing cow cheese, it would add up to about 80 calories and more Protein than just the cheese stick. I tried almonds but those didn't sit right until about 3 months out.

ThatDudesMom 13 Posted April 12, 2011 I keep the single servings of Peanut Butter and chocolate pudding handy at all times, even now that I can eat anything. =-) Dallas
