sarahh1828 4 Posted April 10, 2011 Hi all! I'm 5 days pre-op. I will be sleeved Thursday morning. I was freaking out about this a few days ago, but have calmed down a lot. I'm actually excited. I think it's because now on day 9 of my pre op diet, I'm not hungry anymore. I like this feeling. If this it what it feels like having the sleeve, I will be so happy. I still cook for my family, even though I'm not eating. This was really hard at first, but now it doesn't bother me. I hope this lasts forever. lol. I am so grateful to all of you on here who ask such wonderful questions, and have such wonderful answers to questions. My family was not supportive in the beginning of my journey, so you all were my only support system. This was fine with me. However, armed with some of your collective knowledge, and facts from my doctor, now my family has accepted this decision. lol. My mom is even excited for me. If I do well, my husband may even have it done. So I"ve got to rock my sleeve! And I think with the support of this group I can. Thank you all again for your support and knowledge, I am in awe of all of you and your amazingly positive attitudes!!

sunnyd 32 Posted April 10, 2011 Good luck to you on Thursday!!! That's great that you are calm about. How wonderful that you were able to educate your family about the sleeve and receive support. That will be so helpful after surgery. And I hope you rock your sleeve!
