Karen S 0 Posted June 3, 2011 My doc said it wasokay to chew the sugarfree gum, but he didn't say anything about candy. I guess as long as you dont chew it or crunch it, it should be fine.
Bandme1 12 Posted June 16, 2011 You guys are allowed gum?? Kaiser Richmond spends SOOOO much time saying "No Gum! No Gum! Repeat after me: NO GUM!" LOL. They said they have so many patients come in who accidentally swallowed their gum and had to have it removed with a tube down their throat. Oh, Kaiser and their scare tactics. LilMissDiva Irene 3,282 Posted June 16, 2011 LOL!! Well I do chew Extra gum and I do eat sugar free candies (I hate Protein Drink after taste). Just remember that these DO have carbohydrates attached in case you are watching these closely. However, this is just me - if you're being told no gum you shouldn't eat it. KKoman 0 Posted June 22, 2011 I was told "no gum" - mostly because it adds air to the stomach.
