Help!!!!!! I currently reside in Delaware. I was recently scheduled for my first consultation with the CHRIAS group. Originally they told me that my BMI was not high enough but still scheduled me... ????????????? Dont wanna get my hopes up for nothing. Has anyone had that happen to them before????????

Co-morbidities are conditions that are weight related that put your health at risk. Some common weight related co-morbidities are diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease. Back and joint problems are considered co-morbidities,too.

Most doctors will not perform lap band surgery if your bmi is below 40. There is an exception if your bmi is above 35 and you have two or more co-morbidities.

Oh okay. Yes, I do have co-morbidities, high blood pressure, back pain, and I had bilateral hip replacement 3 years ago due to bad joints. With the new hips Im supposed to weigh between 145 and 160 for them to last more than ten years.
