OMG... not sure if this a NSV or not

This guy that I have kinda dated on and off for 5 yrs. Haven't seen him in a year or so called the other night wanting to go to dinner. So I went. Keep in mind I have only lost around 30lbs. Most people don't even notice yet. Went to dinner and movie and he was supposed to come over one night this week and watch a movie. He texted me today(he does not know about the surgery) and told me that he really liked me bigger and if I wasn't willing to put the weight back on he didn't think he was interested anymore. I didn't even respond to the text. Can you believe that..Obviously we weren't serious but what a weirdo. I thought he liked me in spite of my weight. Guess it turnes out it was because of my weight. lol

WOW! Is he a bigger guy? Maybe he needs a partner in crime to be big with?!?! IMO - No way girl, keep that sexy post op WLS train moving!! Someone should love you for you, thick or thin!! And he should be happy that you are getting healthy :)

Love is out there... good luck

No he is not a big guy. I mean he's big but not overweight. Got a little beer belly but works out very strong arms and legs. I thought he would be thrilled when he saw I was losing weight. Must be some serious mommie issues. :) I was just at a total loss. Maybe it's low self esteem. He thinks if I'm skinny then when he gets around to calling next time I will be with someone else. However, being overweight has not really hurt me getting men. I guess it's my self confidence I just don't want a serious relationship is the reason I take his calls but not anymore.

He's either very insecure, or a chubby chaser lol. Or maybe BOTH!! Whatever his damn problem, it's HIS problem!!! How dare he try to control something as serious as your weight, and after 1 date out of the blue at that. I would set him straight. If he leaves, his loss. Congrats on your loss so far!

LOL!! Now I've really heard it all!!

Very interesting indeed. Well at least you know now that he's not worth your time anymore, just one more thing to add in thanks to your sleeve!

Someday you will find a great guy who loves you for YOU. :)

OMG, what a Chubby Chaser for sure!!!! I think it's so funny, "I liked you better heavier... put your weight back on for ME" Seriously, he has some issues! As if you'd actually consider gaining weight for him!! ((psssst)) OMG, I'm still laughing!!! That's so crazy! Good for you though!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
