Right, she said she could do it IF she starved herself to death, so she thinks stretching it out to 6 months would be healthier.

That is exactly what I meant, I think some people read it wrong. I am saying if personally "I starved myself to death" then it could be done but that is why I said it is better to stretch it out and have a goal. Like my first goal is that I would like to be at 300 pounds at my 6 month mark. It doesn't mean it will or will not happen. It is just I want to do it in a healthy way :)

Since my max is 233.5 losing 100 lbs would make me 133.5. My goal is 155lbs. I'm currently 187.5lbs. So, I'm out of the challenge.

I lost 16lbs 1 week post surgery but that was due to poor caloric intake, and it was much too fast.

I'm on a place about 2kgs per month or around 5lbs +/- .. that's about the quickest I want to lose.

Going 25lbs per month would be very quick weight loss pace, but that's relative. If you're 400lb or 300lbs, then it might be a sustainable pace without running into starvation issue, muscle loss, and renal problems.
Good for you girl! I am glad to see a woman loosing at a rapid rate, a lot of females really think of this as a "men only" thing, glad to see you're loosing at a rapid rate too.

Thanks :)

I don't really have an eating plan. I just eat whatever really. Some days are better than others.

And, for exercise I make sure I get in at least 10,000 steps a day (however, I don't always reach that!)

Plus the gym 3-4 times a week.

I have 15 more pounds to go!

I have been slacking with the gym this week... I need to get back to it!

I am shooting for 100 pounds in a year! That would put me at goal but I am happy with my weight loss in 12 weeks. My doctor said I am "ahead of the curve" regarding weight loss. I know that people who weigh more can lose alot more weight in the beginning. Good Luck

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
