It all depends there is no such thing as typical, I can say I started at about your weight I was 375 lbs day of surgery and now i'm 8.5 months out and last time on the scale I was 261 lbs. I lost 100 lbs relatively quickly within the first 6 months and i've slowed since then but I have also been my own worst enemy by introducing carbs and junk back into my diet. I went 7 weeks with a 2.5 lb gain total after the 6 month mark but then I corrected myself and stopped my bad habits and am doing better now.

Hope this helps but the most important thing to remember is everyone is different and everyone loses at a different rate.

There probably isn’t any 'typical' loss to expect. There are published averages of around 60% of your excess weight in the first year but there is a lot of variance as you will see on this board. Just as another data point, I have lost 124 lb since my operation on 11/22/2010 (I was at 497 the day of).

Good luck with your journey.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
