purple tulip 2 Posted March 28, 2011 I'm not sure if it's an appropriate location to post this, but I am already out of full wardrobes and while I'd love to just donate all of my clothes, I really need to try to sell them, so that I can afford full new wardrobes as I loose this weight. I thought that others may be in a similar situation and be interested in buying a large chuck of a wardrobe for little $. If anyone is interested please feel free to message me and I can send pics Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Women’s Plus Size 26/28 ---Asking $120 for the lot Lots of excellent condition, name brand (mostly Lane Brant and Karen Scott) clothing for sale. SarahS 13 Posted March 30, 2011 Not to sound rude, but you are asking pretty much for clothes. I just gave away clothes on here, just had them pay for shipping, and still didn't get tons of interest. I did give them all away though. I would just donate them and just buy cheaper clothing duing your weighloss. I have found jeans for 7 bucks, and only have a few pairs in the size I am in now. Good luck though! I wish I could have sold all mine to buy nice new clothes, and some of the stuff I gave away even had tags on them!
purple tulip 2 Posted March 30, 2011 Yeah, I never sell my stuff. I usually always donate it, but I thought it'd be a good idea to try being as I need whole new wardrobes. I wasn't sure how to price it, but it's only a couple of bucks per item, which I didn't think was a lot. There's just a lot of like new, cute stuff that I hate to get rid of even though it's a size I never want to see again! I tried to put a $ amount that I would personally pay. Thanks for the feedback though. I'm one of those people who would never know how to price things at a yard sale...nice to have a sounding board for others opinions. MINI-Me 196 Posted March 30, 2011 Have you thought of trying eBay? You would reach a larger audience that way & have some "safety" in using PayPal. Just a thought.
purple tulip 2 Posted March 30, 2011 Thanks! Good suggestion. I actually have some people interested on Craigslist and if that doesn't pan out maybe I'll try eBay Have you thought of trying eBay? tntransplant06 20 Posted March 31, 2011 Ebay is awesome for selling plus-size clothes!! You can get about $10 per item! I've sold tons of clothes this way, just figure it will cost you about 10% of the total sale in fees. And, btw, I was a recipient of SarahS's clothes, thanks!! I LOVE THEM! I really hope I didn't sounds like a big b#$ch. I had yard sale before my surgery and sold some clothes I didn't want. I was going to price them, but people told me clothes do not sell at garage sales. I made each piece of clothing a dollar each, and sold maybe 12-13 things. I sold way more other stuff. I never even thought of ebay. I guess it seems like too much of a hassle for me, lol, but I am kinda lazy. I hope you can sell them, and good luck!
