kalfin13 4 Posted March 23, 2011 My brother emailed me this article. Just thought it was interesting for those who may be contemplating getting the band instead of bypass or sleeve. http://www.businessweek.com/lifestyle/content/healthday/651049.html?chan=rss_topStories_ssi_5=.AOLWebSuite .AOLPicturesFullSizeLink { height: 1px; width: 1px; overflow: hidden; } .AOLWebSuite a {color:blue; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer} .AOLWebSuite a.hsSig {cursor: default}

(and Brothers). Too many variables are involved when implanting a forgein object in the human body. Thanks for sharing!
NJMOMof2 17 Posted March 23, 2011 ABC news did a report a few weeks ago and they said 99% of ppl with bands have complications and 40% must have them removed. I was one of the 40% and I can tell you it was HELL!!!
Becca 108 Posted March 23, 2011 Bands really are terrible! What was I thinking??? Oh well, now I have my sleeve and life is good!
Rev Me Up! 75 Posted March 24, 2011 Interesting article, but I think it barely scratches the surface on the minor complications. Soooo glad for my band to be gone!!! You know I rolled onto my side in bed this morning and it didn't hurt. For the first time in almost 4 years. Sweet!
new_beginnings_ 16 Posted March 28, 2011 wow, for those of us that choose the band and have switched or are switching to the sleeve, this should come as no surprise... It's amazing to me how we are brain-washed into thinking that this is the best WLS choice... I just hate that I spent two and a half miserable years TRYING to lose weight with this piece of crap. 1 Gracey reacted to this
