Hm.

I had half of a crunchwrap suprme from Taco Bell tonight and it went down great, in fact I'm putting it in the slider category.

I didn't eat that half all at once. I had a quarter at about 6 and another about 9:30. Since all I ate was a New whey liquid Protein shot all day I was pretty ready to fill up Mr. Tantrum

I can also eat eggface pizzas with lc tortillas.

One thing i really can't manage is a bean burrito. I think there's too much Fiber and it's too dense.

So far, there is nothing I can't eat. Not that I have tried too much crappy stuff or anything. But I have used whole wheat tortilla with my homemade hummus, yummy. Of course, it's very filling, very fast -- I can't fit much in.

I am 6 weeks out from surgery and 23 lbs down (sleeved on 08/15/23).

Can I eat a low carb tortilla with cheese and chicken? Has anyone else tried?

I’m past the soft diet and now on a regular diet, so I’m scared to try new things. I’ve been very careful and haven’t been sick yet (knock on wood).

I had one around that time and it was fine. If you are worried just have a bite and see how it sits in your stomach.

these may not be appropriate at early stages, but I really like the La Banderita Carb Counter street taco tortillas...they're tiny (as you might imagine, the size of a street taco, maybe 5 in round), but they're only 20 calories and I don't think any net carbs. I make little quesadillas, Breakfast tacos, put mozzarella and turkey pepperoni inside and dip them in pizza sauce, etc.

What about hard shell tortillas? I could not eat soft shell pre-op but really enjoy that crunch.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
