Did anybody actually sleep the night before surgery/

Recommended Posts

I need to be getting up in 5 hours to get ready and travel for my surgery, but I just can't sleep. So, just wondering how many actually slept the night before.

I got a little, but only cause I took one of my sleeping pills. But with only 5 hours to go be careful taking something or you might be way drowsy when you wake up! You could try just one tylonel p.m. if you have one available.

I am sure I won't be sleeping the night before. That is why I am glad I am the first in so I don't have to stay awake forever, lol

I have surgery tomorrow morning and I doubt I'll be getting much sleep tonight. My stomach is all nauseous from being nervous!

I don't think anyone sleep very well before sugery. You will sleep very well afterwards..lol.. anyway all of you will do good in surgery and be positive for the outcome..

I slept decent. For the two weeks during pre op I made sure all my last minute things were done...

And, of course it didnt hurt that I was absolutely exhausted from lack of Protein and stuff.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
