wtBgone 4 Posted March 20, 2011 I was sleeved 10 days ago (3/10/11) and feel as if I'm getting worse, not better. Although I'm taking my PPI, I have awakened the last 2 mornings to severe nausea and vomitting around 7 am. Yesterday it was better by 10 am and i could drink liquids and have mushies. Today I am still nauseous, vomitting and cannot even think about drinking anything. In contrast, the first 8 days were pain- and nause- free and I felt fine, although weak. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Thanks in advance for all replies!

KinkySlinky 3 Posted March 20, 2011 I suggest you call your surgeon's office and let them know what is going on... Hope you feel better soon!
Disney 20 Posted March 20, 2011 I agree, you should call your Dr. Maybe you should just try going back to liquids only instead of the mushies. My Dr. told me to try each new phase of eating, (mushies, soft, etc) and if there was any nausea or pain, just go back to liquids for a few days and try again. It's really just trial and error in the beginning. Just listen to your new tummy, it will let you know. Hope you feel better soon.
DazyKrazie 4 Posted March 20, 2011 Wow! I am sorry you are going through that. Sometimes I also think my stomach is too small. It sometimes feels weird to drink, like in my chest, not my belly. I can't even imagine being on mushies as soon as you are. Good luck and I hope it gets better real soon!
gmcc 0 Posted March 20, 2011 I am 11 days out and it's the same for me. I am not vomitting nor do I have nausea but it does seem I am able to tolerate a lot less liquids than I was even 2-3 days ago.
Can'tweight 41 Posted March 20, 2011 I am shocked you are already on mushies as well. I was sleeved on the 16th and am on full liquids for 21 days. I would go back to liquids and see if that helps. But I sure would call your doc ASAP to make sure everything is alright. I feel like hammered dog poo most of the time and I'm not even vomiting. I can't even imagine how you must feel. I feel just awful for you. I hope you're better soon.
wtBgone 4 Posted March 20, 2011 Thankseveryone for your support! Am unable to tolerate cold liquids without major spasming so tried some warm broth and that went down OK. Think I will stay on warm liquids today, call my Dr in the morning and go from there. Having a support gorup like this is awesome!
Deanna23 0 Posted March 20, 2011 Hi, Im Deanna I was sleeved March 14th. I still feel like crap too. I can feel every little mouthful that drips into my stomach. Im still on clears. I did try a Protein shake with powder, i guess I wasn't ready for that yet! I think I started to "dump" bad liquid diarrhea. did you come home with a drain? I did, I had some increased bleeding on the 3rd day. They told me my new stomach is still swollen at the suture line and this is normal. WE R ON THE SAME BOAT!
