Queendiva 0 Posted March 19, 2011 It's been a while since I was here and I still haven't come up with a way to pay for my surgery. Has anyone come up with a way to get Medicare to pay?. I think that weight loss surgery should be accessible to everyone who needs it. The fact that I am medically excluded from being able to have the lap band and the gastric bypass shouldn't keep me from medical treatment that will vastly improve my health. It seems to me that the powers that be are playing God with our health. Those of us affected should unite but I don't where to start to motivate people to write legislator including the White House. I don't think one voice will do it, but that is my next step since Medicare flat turned me down ignoring all my concerns.

I thought Medicare pays for the lap band and the ruin y gastric bypass surgery, as well as the d switch . but they don’t yet pay for the sleeve. If anyone has any updated information on when Medicare will cover the sleeve please share it. I feel comfortable with the sleeve and would go ahead and do it. But Medicare does not cover it yet, What’s there problem?

I announced that a woman I met via computer and myself were in the same boat...waiting for Medicare to approve the gastric sleeve so I posted an idea we came up with yesterday...first showing a letter I wrote several weeks ago to a congressman and then mentioned creating---today---a national petition for people to sign..as there is power in numbers...and just this morning I noticed my letter having been removed from the internet. Strange..I say...to not be able to unite in this so-called democracy....still wondering who took my letter to my congressman off the internet in less than 24 hours...? I have my suspisions...you can reach me at fightforjustice@yahoo.com unless someone feels like stopping anyone from reaching me...we'll see.
