SherryW 4 Posted July 1, 2006 My answer is a definate yes. My DH has lost 33 pounds since I've been banded. We're sharing more meals instead of each having our own, he's more conscious of what he eats and tries to stay away from white flour, sugar and other carbs. He says because I'm eating less it's made him fully aware of how he was eating and needed to cut down. He hasn't been suffering from any cravings because if he wants it he waits until the weekend to have a little of whatever it is. He's given up soda along with me too. He's been a great help to me...making my meals. Trying to make sure the meats are tender and juicy so they go down right and he constantly reminds me to drink my Water. I'm soooo bad with that lol. I'm lucky to have him and his support. I help him by not buying the junk that tempts him and by buying things that are made from whole grains etc. He's doing very well. So well that I told my surgeon we got a two for one deal with my band
Stitchy 0 Posted July 1, 2006 Yes, here, too! DH has lost his eating buddy. When he sees me eating less, he feels guilty going back for seconds (or thirds). He should lose about 30 lbs and has lost about 10 so far. I think that is just so cool.
